Take Spain to win the world cup. They easily have the best team on paper and the squad mostly plays in spain so they know each others talents and I feel they will work well together. They have Casillas at goal(best goal keeper in the world some would say), pique puyol ramos albiol(unbelievable back four, best back four of the tournament). They have so much quality in the midfield with busquets, fabregas, iniesta, xavi, xavi alonso.(xavi, iniesta and busquets all play on the same club team, so will be very familiar with each others play, xavi alonso and fabregas are superstars for real madrid and arsenal respectively) and finally they have fernando torres and david villa(two great forwards who are among the best in europe.) With this squad, they undoubtedly have the best team in the tournament and also they won the Euro 2008 with the exact same players. So give me Spain to win the World Cup in South Africa.:103631605

Brazil is always a favourite, but I would also go for Holland or Germany. The Dutch have some spectacular youngsters (as every year, actually), and this time they can make a difference. Germany is one of the best organized european teams, so I can see them at least in the semifinals.

i saw books offering an african team to get to Finals at a great price, if it is to happen it will happen this summer, Ivory Coast, Ghana and Nigeria are all worthy

I will make this investment as well. Diego Maradona was one of the best players of all time. However, he might be the worst coach in the world cup! If they draw or lose the first game, the pressure might make this team crumble..:hanging:

yes as the games draw nearer i will post full explanation but fully has to do with the man in charge. put it this way ... he has vowed to hold to a 4-4-1-1 single striker formation yet has included 5 strikers on his team and left off MF like Gago, Zanetti, and Cambiasso. He is a trainwreck of a coach and they are very lucky to even be in So Africa.

Anyone use BETUS?? they don't have any futures for the World Cup to win it all... kind of dissapointing... It is so much trouble to put money into my account I'm kind of hesistant to go with another sportsbook. I'm trying to make it out to Vegas to put some cheese down on these games...

I'm not a big soccer fan or anything but from what I've read and seen Spain looks like a good pick. I like the fact that they have such a great goalie.
I like Portugal as a long shot as well, Ronaldo is a great scorer. @)
